TagsThe holoalarm rang. Shepard rose out of bed; sleep still thick in her eyes. She looked to the nightstand next to her bed and saw the tags Liara had brought the night before. She stared at them for a long time. Finally, she took them into her hand and held them as if they were some lost artifact from long ago. In a way, they were. As with all ancient antiquities, the tags' original purpose was almost irrelevant now. Much more than the steel and chain that made them, the tags, which read, Shepard, Urania Jane, were iconic symbols of Shepard's own resurrection through the love and loyalty of another. Sheaprd placed the tags back on the nightstand and started to get ready for her day. Before she left the cabin she stole a quick glance back at the tags. There they were, still sitting on the nightstand, as if they had always been there.
